O MAGAZINE SELECTS HOUSTON NONPROFIT FOR NATIONAL RECOGNITION OF ITS WORK TO UPLIFT WOMEN

PRESS RELEASE

Houston, Oct 25, 2018

The unique establishing mission of the Women’s Inflection Point (WIP), a 501(c)(3) organization, landed the Houston, TX-based nonprofit coverage in the December 2018 editions of both O, The Oprah and Entrepreneur magazines.  One year since its founding by businesswoman C. Renée Wilson, WIP focused its organizational resources on helping women experience and act upon their own inflexion points to make meaningful, empowered and long-lasting change in their lives. In celebration of the honour and editorial recognition, WIP will host a “Growth Reception,” Sunday, October 28, 2018, 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Season’s 52 Restaurant; 4410 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX  77027.

“WIP is intent upon helping women use the sudden, noticeable, and important moments or change in their lives. Their personal inflexion points,” said C. Renée Wilson, WIP’s founder and designer of the organization’s three-pronged focus on self-actualization, human wellness, and real estate & financial options.  “Empowerment emerges during times of life change.  Rather than bending under the challenges, WIP encourages guides and coaches, women, to leverage their experiences to build a life full of possibilities. That’s when the ‘It’s Me Time’ is critical” Wilson added.

WIP’s successful April 2018 inaugural event drew unanimous praise from the diverse group of women.  Nationally -known as well as locally-recognized speakers shared their talent and expertise not only to prompt audience members to identify their inflexion points but also how to find and use the critical “Me Time.”  Plans for the April 2019 Occurrence Events are underway, as well as the production of an E-Learning online platform, convening Meet-Up groups and other virtual or in-person gatherings that support women in reaching their life goals. Plans are also underway to enhance the 2018 WIP Men’s Track and Launch the April 2019 Men’s Cave Conference, organized by Julius Cartwright, a successful visionary, and strategic entrepreneur. This track was built for Men around the truth that ‘Men are Critical to the Equation,” and are vital to the WIP conversation.

We are proud of our relationship with WIP and the many organizations we partner with within our footprint in Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, New Mexico and Texas,” says WIP’s Title Sponsor, Viola Solomon, Senior Vice President and Director of Community Lending Mortgage, BBVA Compass.
